The ARCBS has announced that it wants to review classification structures and salaries across Australia because its salaries are uncompetitive with other employers. We have pointed out to the ARCBS that this review / restructure is unnecessary in Victoria as rates of pay, classifications and conditions of employment match the public sector. We wonder at the real agenda here. A meeting of members to discuss the ARCBS’ proposed review will be held next Wednesday 19 August 2009, 11 am in Meeting Room 3 at Southbank.
