Members are fighting against management’s attempt to make Dorevitch/GPS a low wage ghetto, in what used to be a high-paying, high quality pathology service.

We understand that in response to Dorevitch’s reduced level of service in Albury (evidenced by the decision to send microbiology to Melbourne), a local consortium is about to set up a rival laboratory. We don’t think that the new laboratory will find it difficult to recruit scientists, as long as they pay market rates. We have had initial discussions with management.
