Dorevitch Non-Union Couriers and Collectors Agreements Voted Down

Dorevitch and Gippsland Pathology have again failed in their quest to slash, trash and burn employee protections, conditions of employment and entitlements.

The Company in mid August 2010 put out to vote, for the second time, two non-union Agreements covering collectors and couriers.

We can report back that after the count on the 30th August 2010 both the collectors and couriers agreements have been voted down.

This is a great result for all MSAV and HSU members. Couriers and collectors should be congratulated for voting down these toxic agreements and maintaining and preserving their current conditions of employment.

We are aware that a non union agreement covering support staff has been circulated for another vote. This agreement is in similar terms to the couriers and collectors agreements and seeks to reduce terms and conditions of employment– in the same way.

The MSAV / HSU strongly advises all support staff to join couriers, collectors, technicians and scientists by VOTING NO.

Once the results of the support staff ballot is known, we will be meeting with MSAV members to decide on the next steps toward securing a fair agreement for scientists and technicians.
