Sigma Pharmaceuticals made a counter bid for Symbion’s consumer and pharmaceutical businesses, following the bid by Ironbridge and Archer Capital which bid for these parts of Symbion’s businesses, as part of a consortium with Healthscope.

Sigma’s bid of $1,085,000 was topped by Ironbridge and Archer Capital who came back with a dollar more – a bid of $1,085,001.

Meanwhile Healthscope’s bid of $1.7 million for the pathology, radiology and medical centre businesses of Symbion is subject to scrutiny by the ACCC.
