We have been advised that a revised discussion paper on the principles of private practice rights in public hospitals is being developed by the Department of Health. Once the paper has been finalised and circulated, we will be meeting the Department again over this important issue. VPA members may recall that the previous discussion paper was withdrawn by the Department.
