The Union has written to Western Health seeking inclusions in the tender requirements that will afford some protections including:

• provision of information about industrial instruments applicable to the tenderer
• details of the tenderer’s industrial relations strategy & IR dispute resolution procedures
• Employee consultative agreements
• Details of past OHS performance over the last 5 years
• Details of the tenderer’s plans for monitoring and maintaining compliance with current OHS legislation

We are told that the tender documents will not be completed/ distributed until January 2011 and that the implementation date for any new contract has been adjusted to September 2011.
