The MSAV has formed a Working Group to prepare a submission to the National Pathology Accreditation Advisory Council’s in response to its proposed changes to required qualifications and roles for the position of Laboratory Director.

In short, NPACC is recommending a change that will limit those eligible for this position to Pathologists, and thereby exclude Senior Medical Scientists.

The MSAV Working Group includes senior and highly experienced Medical Scientists who have generously volunteered time over the Christmas break to have a submission ready for late January 2011.
