After several months of pursuit MSAV has obtained back pay to a member’s superannuation fund in excess of $1300 after MIVF set its payroll system incorrectly in that superannuation was calculated on base salary only, which did not include HQAs. We are informed that MIVF are undertaking an audit of superannuation calculations to ensure they are correct for all scientists and genetic counsellors in receipt of HQAs. The necessary payments will be paid into the individual’s superannuation fund if errors are found to have occurred.  It pays to belong to the Union.
