The new classification structures are to operate from 1 January 2011. The Department of Health is currently working to establish the cost of implementation. Once the funding matters have been finalised, there will need to be a vote of public sector members so that the public sector EBA can be varied to implement the new structures. The intention is to circulate the EBA variation by the end of April.
