We are in the final stages of negotiations in relation to the implementation of new classification structures and definitions covering audiologists, dietitians, clinical perfusionists, medical scientists, pharmacists and psychologists.

These negotiations arose out of the June 2008 Heads of Agreement between the VHIA and the Union to settle the 2008-2011 public sector EBA. The negotiations have been complex and protracted. We are pleased with the outcome.

The new classification structures are to be implemented from 1 January 2011. The current public sector EBA will need to be varied – in turn that will require a vote of employees covered by the agreement.

As soon as the variation to the Agreement has been finalised we will make the new classification structures available to members on the website in a single document. Draft final classification structures are available at Documents -> Campaigns -> Public Sector EB2007 (login first).
