We have had complaints from scientists members employed at Southern Health that they have not been paid for public holidays which fall on their rostered days off.

Under the public sector EBA, where a public holiday falls on the rostered day off of a full-time shift worker the employee is entitled to received am extra day and one half’s pay or an additional day and one half’s leave.

We have raised this matter with Southern Health. We have been assured that the appropriate adjustments will be been made.
