We have had a number of inquiries about the entitlement to have annual leave re-credited when a person is sick when on annual leave. Under the National Employment Standards all annual leave days on which a person is sick can be re-credited to annual leave and debited to personal leave, as long as the requirements regarding proof of illness are satisfied, such as a certificate from a medical practitioner.
