We are still awaiting advice from the VHIA and the Department as to when funding for the new classification structures will be released to health services. We understand that discussions between the two are not yet finalised. When this is resolved, we have been given an assurance that each health service will notify in writing those members who are to be reclassified. The agreed date for payment of back-pay remains 30 September with the operative date for application of the new structures being 1 January 2011.
