The allegations of credit card misuse by the former National Secretary, and other matters, are currently under investigation by Fair Work Australia. Members of our branch were proactive in seeking an investigation by FWA in 2009, after an internal investigation was undertaken by the national office. The FWA findings are expected to be released soon.

The allegations against Michael Williamson of obtaining secret commissions from suppliers relate to the HSE East Branch, which comprises the NSW Branch of the Union, and the former No 1 and No 3 Branches in Victoria. No other branches are involved.
