Sending microbiology work offsite is part of Dorevitch Pathology’s business model and now it is being rolled out at Latrobe Hospital in Gippsland.

Once again, without any consultation Dorevitch implemented a change that involves sending about 60% of microbiology testing from the Latrobe Regional Hospital laboratory to Heidelberg.

At the same time scientists were made redundant with less than one hours’ notice, including a scientist with 23 years of loyal service.
