Department of Health Still has not Released Funding

We understand that the Department of Health still has not released funding to public hospitals and health services to enable them to implement the new classification structures, and to pay backpay to members who have been reclassified, from the first pay period on or after 1 January 2011. The new classification structures were approved by Fair Work Australia on 12 August 2011 as variations to the Public Health Sector (Medical Scientists, Pharmacists and Psychologists) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2009-2011.

As such they are now legally enforceable.

Should we not be advised by close of business today that the money has flowed, we will have the matter brought on in Fair Work Australia.
