| Freedom of Information Request: WH Dorevitch Contract: Refused by WH |

We have sought information from WH in relation to the contract specifications including but not limited to types of tests, site(s) where tests are to be performed, turnaround times and performance indicators, however specified or described. Note we are not seeking any commercial-in-confidence financial information. WH has refused to provide the information to us. We will be seeing an internal review of that decision, which is the next step. If WH still refuses to provide the information we will make application to VCAT. Western Health is also refusing to provide Dorevitch’s Ethical Employment Statement. This Statement needs to be provided as part of the tender process, in order to meet the requirement that proposed tenderers meet the requirement to act ethically in relation to their employees, including adhering to the requirements of industrial agreements. We will be seeking a review of the decision of WH not to provide Dorevitch’s Ethical Employment Statement as well. We again call on WH to invoke the performance guarantee provisions of the contract. Patient care should be at the forefront of WH management’s actions, not trying to justify their choice of contractor by avoiding scrutiny.
