The Department of Health has advised health services will receive the funding to implement the new public sector classification structures on 15 November 2011. This includes backpay to the implementation date of 1 January 2011.

The next step is for health services to advise members in writing of their new classification and rate of pay.

It has taken more than two years of hard bargaining on the part of the Union to achieve the new classification structure. Please remind your colleagues who are not members what the Union does for them and encourage them to join ahead of the next round of public sector bargaining which is about to begin.
