The MSAV has made further oral submissions to the ACCC re the proposed merger of Healthscope and Symbion Health, which would lead to the combined Gribbles and Dorevitch Pathology services dominating the Victorian market, with 60% of market share.

The ACCC is due to release its opinion on whether the proposed merger would be likely to significantly reduce competition on 25 July 2007. (We say the answer to that question is ‘yes’).
