Dietitian members of the MSAV will remember the furore created when NH advertised the LSL replacement position of the Grade 4 dietitian as a Grade 3. We took the matter to the AIRC and NH stated that the Grade 3 position was only in relation to 12 month LSL position – implying that the position would be readvertised as a Grade 4. Actually the position should be a Grade 4B and we told NH this at the time the matter was in the AIRC. NH have now advertised the position of Grade 4 ‘Chief’ Dietitian/Podiatrist/Speech Pathologist without consultation. We expect we will be back in the AIRC on this one. Members considering applying for the position are advised to speak to us first.

A meeting of dietitian members will be held asap to discuss the situation and the MSAV response.
