ACCC ‘Informal Decision’
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) is due to release its Informal Decision on Wednesday 15 August 2007 regarding the proposed take over of Symbion Health by Healthscope. See Healthscope Limited, Ironbridge Capital and Archer Capital - proposed acquisition of Symbion Health Limited
We are organising members’ meetings at Gribbles and Symbion Health’s Dorevitch and Gippsland Pathology laboratories in Melbourne and in regional areas to discuss the implications of the ACCC decision. Note that Healthscope has proposed that the merged entity divest itself of the Gippsland Pathology business and laboratories at Benalla (Dorevitch) and Wangaratta (Gribbles). Meeting dates so far:
- Meeting of GPS members at Traralgon on Thursday 16 August 2007 at 6.30 pm at the main laboratory
- Meeting of members at the Dorevitch laboratory in Albury on Monday 27 August 2007 at 2.00 pm. In the tea room
- Meeting for all members employed by Gribbles and Dorevitch Melbourne laboratories, at 3rd Floor Rear Building, Trades Hall on Tuesday 21 August 2207 at 6.00 pm. Light refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP to
