The Greens industrial relations policy includes repealing WorkChoices, abolishing AWAs, restoring workers’ rights to challenge unfair dismissal, and restoring the power of the independent umpire to conciliate and arbitrate on disputes between employers and employees and their representatives. These are all policies which this Union supports and has consistently promoted. The Greens IR policy is based on a number of principles, including the establishment of a fair and equitable industrial relations system, and the right of employees to be a member of a union, to collectively bargain with their employer, to collectively withhold their labour and collectively organise in the workplace. These rights are seen as essential to achieving a sustainable and democratic future. http://www.greens.org.au/library/policies/G2employmentandir.pdf
