SPOTLIGHT SEES THE LIGHT AFTER SPOTLIGHT SHONE ON ITS AWAs PDF Print E-mail
Now we can think about shopping at Spotlight …Spotlight has decided to ditch its policy of using Howard’s WorstChoices to put its workers on individual AWAs. Spotlight is now talking to the Shop and Distributive Workers Union about negotiating a collective agreement.

Contrary to John Howard’s strategic intentions, Spotlight workers turned to the union once Spotlight started issuing AWAs – such as the AWAs which stripped workers of their penalty rates in exchange for 2 cents per hour increase in their hourly rate of pay.
