| MINISTER HULLS IGNORES CONCERNS |

We have received a response from Rob Hulls, Minister for Industrial Relations, to a letter we wrote expressing concerns about the Government’s stance on enterprise bargaining. Our letter was sent on 25 October 2007; the response was received on 9 January! Rob Hulls dismisses our concerns about the huge wage disparities between NSW and Victoria and recites the mantra that increases above 3.25% pa need to be off-set by productivity gains (read job losses). He does not respond to the point that medical scientists have delivered annual productivity gains of 15% for the last five years. Clearly the Brumby State Government is unwilling to bargain in good faith.
