Industrial Officer, Heidi Brown, visited Peter Mac for an update meeting yesterday.  Members passed the following resolution and gave it to the HR manager in support of their colleagues at the 8 Ballot sites

We members of MSAV / VPA (HSU#4) at Peter MacCallum Cancer Institute support our colleagues at the 8 major health networks taking industrial action.

We call upon our employer to demand that this dispute be settled immediately with pay increases that are equitable with that offered to and accepted by Nurses, updating of classification structures and appropriate conditions.

We thank our colleagues who have sacrificed a days pay to leverage claims on our behalf.

We will be applying for a ballot for protected action for members at Peter Mac and Royal Children’s Hospital next week as we step up the campaign.
