This week Primary Healthcare obtained > 50% of Symbion shares.  It is unclear what this will mean for MSAV members at Dorevitch and Gribbles (owned by Symbion & Healthscope respectively). It has been reported that the share sales occurred only through an agreement from Primary to sell off some Victorian assets to Healthscope.  At this stage we are unsure of which laboratories that includes or whether the ACCC’s previous ruling on divestitures by Healthscope is still relevant. The MSAV is maintaining a watching brief.
