Return to Work Part-time After Maternity Leave |

Our 2004-2007 pubic sector certified agreements provide that the employer will accommodate the reasonable needs of an employee to return to work part-time where this is necessary for the employee to discharge his/her responsibilities as the primary care giver. The clause also provides for the return to work to be at the employee’s substantive classification. We have just settled an agreement re return to work on a part-time basis for a member at Bayside Health after a lengthy period of discussions. These provisions in the 2004 EBA will carry over into the 2008 EBA.
