Members employed by Epworth took industrial action last week in the form of a half day strike after Epworth made an offer leaving a group of VPA members significantly worse off on rates of pay. This group of members rallied out the front of the hospital on Tuesday morning. VPA / MSAV thank Union Solidarity for their support last week.

AIRC Conciliations Tuesday afternoon and Thursday have led to improved wage offers however on wages these public sector rates will only be matched at a few pay points and on base wages our members will be worse off. Members of the negotiating committee are considering a fourth “final offer” from Epworth. A meeting with the CEO has been tentatively arranged for 27 May.
