A discussion paper has been released by the DHS following a review of the governance of Community Health Centres. This follows the threat to salary packaging by staff of CHCs by the ATO. 

The discussion paper explores a number of options for the future governance of CHCs, including becoming charitable non-government bodies, or amalgamating with an existing hospital or health service. For details go to:
