The pathology review is separate from the Parkville Pathology Project which is looking at possible cooperative arrangements for pathology at Melbourne Health (which services Western Health), the Royal Women’s, Royal Children’s and Peter Mac. You have to wonder about the efficiency and effectiveness of having two separate pathology reviews in public pathology, with two different consultants, both under DHS auspices, and running concurrently.
