Victorian Mental Health Workforce Strategy Committee PDF Print E-mail
This Committee was set up by the Department of Human Services as part of the recent enterprise bargaining round in the public sector.

The VPA nominated members Dr Patricia Miach and Dr Belinda Jude to the Committee. Both Trish and Belinda are members of the VPA Committee and the HSU #4 Branch Committee of Management and are senior clinical psychologists.

We received no response to our letter of nomination and have followed this up with the Department of Human Services.

Given that there are at least six nurses on the Committee, we consider it to be absolutely vital that the views of psychologists working in public mental health are well represented.

(The APS has a nominee on the Committee who, we understand, did not attend the first meeting.)
