The drafting of the Heads of Agreement between the ARCBS and the Union to cover scientists has been finalised. It has been endorsed by a meeting of MSAV members and should be signed off by the beginning of next week. Following the signing of the agreement, the salary increases and backpay will be paid by ARCBS.
The increases at the ARCBS, operative dates and sign on bonus match the public sector outcomes. However the ARCBS agreement expires 12 months after the public sector agreement, and includes an additional increase of 3.25% from 1 January 2012. The agreement provides for the matching of public sector outcomes in 2012 should the increases exceed 3.25%. Congratulations to the members of the MSAV negotiating team on the great result for members at ARCBS, which comes after very lengthy and complex negotiations.
