Tuesday 25 November 7.00 pm Melbourne Unitarian Peace Memorial Church 110 Grey Street East Melbourne The purpose of the Forum is to inform the community about the anti-democratic and anti-Union ABCC which was set up by the Howard government, and to ask the community to join in the campaign to have the legislation which set up the ABCC repealed by the Rudd government. The Forum is timely, as it coincides with the prosecution of CFMEU Official Noel Washington, and the Rights on Site campaign of the CFMEU. Rights On Site Additional information is available in the Unitarian newsletter The Beacon Noel Washington’s trial is likely to start on 2 December 2008 at the Melbourne Magistrates Court. There will be a rally and march from Trades Hall to the Court on the day. A motion calling for the abolition of the ABCC and support for Noel Washington was passed at the HSU#4 AGM.
