We have concluded agreement with Genetic Health in relation to scientists, as part of the public sector bargaining round. (Genetic Health is Victoria’s public genetic health service).

Negotiations regarding renewal of the agreement covering genetic counsellors have stalled due to management’s representatives (VHIA) not responding to requests to meet. We now have tentative dates for meetings into November 2008.

Our aim is to have the agreement wrapped up by the end of November (at least in the form of a Heads of Agreement) so the increases will flow prior to Christmas.
