Symbion / Dorevitch Pathology / Gippsland Pathology - Industrial Action on the Agenda |
|
|
|
Members at Dorevitch’s Frankston laboratory passed the following motion yesterday, unanimously condemning Symbion’s failure to negotiate:
- To note the report back from MSAV regarding negotiations with Dorevitch Pathology for a new workplace agreement.
- To express our dissatisfaction with Dorevitch Pathology for their failure to negotiate in good faith or to offer reasonable wages.
- To reiterate our strong support for a new union collective agreement that will contain matters relevant to the Claim including fair wages and conditions.
- To direct the MSAV to undertake the actions necessary to negotiate a new workplace agreement with Dorevitch Pathology, including making application to the Commission for an order for a ballot to be held to determine the taking of protected industrial action that would include rolling stoppages up to 8 hours duration.
- To request that Dorevitch Pathology agree to negotiate in good faith and to make a suitable wage offer to MSAV.
- That MSAV will report back to members and convene further meetings as necessary.
We will be convening further meetings of members at Heidelberg and other Dorevitch laboratories and at Gippsland Pathology over the coming week to consider our response to the refusal of Primary Health / Symbion to negotiate in good faith.
