We have notified a dispute against SH over the term “professional governance”. The notion of ‘professional governance has been a particular concern of psychologists employed at SH as well as our dietitian members. The recent restructure of the executive management introduced the concept. Staff were able to feed initial queries and concerns to a working party; however nothing further on the issue has been circulated to the staff for some months. Recently we learned a final draft is being viewed by the executive without staff having a chance to read it. This is despite having requested the opportunity to do so. The main complaint about the initial draft was that it left the delineation between professional and operational matters very unclear. This matter is listed in the AIRC on Monday 28 May 2007 for conference.
