GAZA APPEAL

Union Aid Abroad – APHEDA has launched an appeal for the people of Gaza.

After three weeks of bombing and invasion, Gaza is left with over 1,300 dead, 5,500 wounded, 22,000 homes destroyed and widespread destruction of public buildings and infrastructure such as water, sewerage plants and pipelines.  Of particular note is the extensive shelling and destruction of UN shelters and schools where women and children were seeking safety. Funds raised through the Union Aid Abroad – APHEDA’s appeal will assist families in need in Gaza.   The MA’AN Development Centre specializes in food security, and in southern Gaza, the El Wafa Hospital’s rehabilitation section focuses on rehabilitation of the wounded, especially those now missing limbs or suffering other physical disabilities.  For further information, please visit www.unionaidabroad.org.au Donations to assist the people of Gaza can be made by:-
