Following our letter to the Department of Human Services regarding the classification review, the DHS has indicated a willingness to set up meetings to get the process started. One of the initial tasks will be to verify DHS data on the number, classifications and gradings of staff employed under our agreements.

Members will recall that a great deal of work was done in 2007 in putting draft classification structures and definitions together for a range of our classifications, including for dietitians in community health (for whom there is no classification structure).

We may need to convene meetings of members to verify the work done in 2007.
