| Organisational Change at Epworth |

|
It appears that Epworth are about to pull out of the auspicing of the Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) service which is funded by the Department of Human Services (DHS). A number of neuropsychologists are employed by Epworth in the ABI consultancy. The Union is yet to be advised by Epworth that it intends pulling out of the auspicing arrangements. We have reminded Epworth management that under our enterprise agreement with Epworth, management is required to provide us with an Impact Statement in relation to the effects of the proposed change on staff. It is mandatory that the hospital enter into discussions with members and their representative, being the Union, about the proposed changes and their impact on members. We will also be contacting DHS to discuss how it is intended that publicly-funded ABI services are to be auspices in the future.
