The MSAV, along with other HSU Branches, has recently held meetings of staff across Victoria to discuss the current offer and members’ response.

The company’s offer of a 2% increase over 12 months was universally rejected by members as insufficient and insulting. The Union will be making application to Fair Work Australia for a ballot of members to approve protected industrial action.

We welcome feedback from members in relation to the types of bans and stoppages which should be the subject of the ballot. Once the ballot vote has been decided there will be further discussion with members over the type, timing, duration and location of industrial action.
