BARGAINING REPRESENTATIVE NOMINATIONS |
The Fair Work Act 2009 which came into effect on 1 July 2009 requires employers who are negotiating an EBA to advise employees of their right to nominate a bargaining representative. These notices will need to be posted by employers with whom the Union is currently bargaining. Because the public sector agreement is still in the drafting phase, bargaining representative nomination forms will need to be provided to members in the public sector as well. There is no need for you to nominate a bargaining representative as the Union is the default representative under the Act.
