Pharmacists waiting on formal response to staffing worries from Melbourne Health PDF Print E-mail
After Melbourne Health has cut the Pharmacy staff budget by $200k AHP members are working extremely hard to stay on top of workloads that are mounting due to delayed replacement of staff who have resigned or gone on leave.  Managers say they are looking at ways of re-jigging the workforce to ensure greater numbers of staff but it is not clear yet to the Union what this means.  Neither the Union nor members have not received full impact statements about changes proposed in relation to changes that have already occurred let alone changes to occur in the future.  Managers have said a formal response will be sent to the Union this week.  Member patience is wearing thin. Once this is received a further meeting of AHP members will be held to discuss the formal Melbourne Health response.
