As members will be aware, the 2008 Heads of Agreement in the public sector provided for a review of certain nominated classifications of which pharmacists was one. The pharmacists’ structure has not been revised for 20 years and is so outdated that it has become largely irrelevant. This must be rectified. A pharmacist’s committee has been convened to develop new definitions and structures which will be used as the basis for our negotiations with the VHIA. Any pharmacist member who would like to participate in the committee is asked to contact our office.
