Employers which think that cheating people of their award entitlements is a good way to make money should watch this space. We are currently pursuing a claim for a member employed by a large public sector network who has not been paid his on call entitlement for the past 20 years! We have calculated conservatively that he is owed well over $100,000! This is a classic case of how a bit of pocket-picking of unionists can turn into a long term expensive disaster for the employer. If the employer does not agree to pay all monies owed, we will have no option but to take it to court.
