We have been advised by members that a major restructuring of CAMHS services is proposed. We have not been provided with an Impact Statement. We have reminded the Alfred that under our public sector agreements, a health service intending to introduce organisational change is required to notify the Union and to provide information in writing, prior to consultation with the Union and employees over the impacts of the proposed changes, and the mitigation of the same. Consultation does not mean merely advising employees of proposed changes. Consultation requires employers to engage genuinely in discussion and negotiation with staff and their representatives.
