Isis Primary Care Underpayment of Psychologist: Settlement Reached "On the Steps of the Court" |

The case in the Magistrates Court against Isis Primary Care seeking payment of underpaid wages and allowances did not proceed this week, as Isis entered into a confidential settlement of the claim with a very satisfied VPA member.
Isis Primary Care had employed the member as a social worker under the Social and Community Services (SACS) Award, instead of as a registered psychologist under the HSU award and our certified agreement. There is a significant difference between the pay of a social worker and that of a psychologist in community health, which provides community health services with a large financial incentive to classify psychologist incorrectly.
